#181 1867 Annie
I wanted to make an Annie with a more old time feel and I think she turned out very sweet. She is 17" with a hand stitched face, black button eyes, and red wool hair. I used civil war reproduction fabrics for her dress, and cheese clothe for her apron. Her pants are muslin and tied at the bottom with the same fabric as her skirt. Her shoes are painted black "Mary Janes". I found this great button for her dress that looks like an old Cameo, that I aged with some burnt umber. She has a hang tag that I altered with a great picture of a little girl with her dollie, and I stamped the year 1867 at the bottom. Her dollie is only 6.5" with a hand stitched face, painted shoes, and red wool hair. Her dress is a red fabric with a flower print. She is also wearing a small tag that says "olde dollie". I used a rusty safety pin to attach her to Annie's hand so that she can be removed if you want. Annie, her dollie, and both of their clothes have been heavily aged. This is such a great pair for any prim home and would look great on an old cupboard or shelf.
