Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “ For by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is a gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.”

We become Christians through God’s grace, not by our own doing. It is a free gift!Out of our gratitude for this gift we will want to serve others, be kind and loving,and not just looking out for ourselves.

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Life in heaven will be different than life here on earth. There will be no heartache, sadness, sickness, death, evil, or sin. Christ has promised all believers that we will live forever with him in heaven. To “believe” means to put our full trust and confidence in him, that he alone can save us from our sins and that Jesus is God. To “believe” is to put Christ in charge of our lives and eternal destiny. Believeing is both trusting his words as reliable, and relying on him for the power to change. If you have never trusted Christ as your Savior, let this promise of everlasting life be yours - and believe.
